LEDs / clear tails?

alright, what are these LEDs and why do I need them with my clear tails? I went to http://www.lightlens.com/ and saw the 1157 red lightbulbs for sale, is there something wrong with those bulbs that would make me lean towards LEDS? sorry.. you'll have to excuse my ignorance, Im just starting to get to know my explorer, and my firebird never saw any "LEDs"

Led bulbs never fade and are a lot brighter than regular glass bulbs. They also add a really nice custom look to the truck. I am actually selling a set of them, if you are interested, for $30 which is $10 cheaper than what I paid for them.

thanks for the info, but doesnt that lightlens.com sell the 1157 red LEDs for $20?

They might but those won't fit in your tails because the bulb size you need is 3157.
