This past weekend I replaced the bulbs in my instrument cluster and installed a new worm gear for the odometer. Thanks to this site the job was fairly simple and didn't take very long. While I had the cluster removed and replacing the bulbs I noticed one of the ports marked HAZ did not have anything in it. All other ports are in good working order. Would this be the cause of my left side Hazard Lights not working? If so what needs to go into the port to make it active again.

Thanks in advance for your help. You guys run a great, informative site.

Do the left turn signals work, just not the flashers?

Correct, the hazards will not flash on the IC or on the exterior. But the left turn signal works fine.

Hmm...I'm not terribly familiar with how they work but have you checked the large fuse in the fuse block?

There are big square or circular metal cased fuses that control the hazards. I don't know if just one side can go out but it would be worth a look I think.

I vote for either the hazard flasher or the #@! multi-function switch - in that order.

Thanks for the help, I'll check into it. What about the void in the circuit board of the instrument cluster that had the abbreviation HAZ?

Thanks again.

I don't know much about circuitry so I'm not much help :(.

If you try the other suggestions though let us know how they work. Might help to trouble shoot.
