Has anyone here gone thru the process of having a vehicle bought back by the manufacturer? I have a problem with my '04 that the dealership just cant seem to fix...
A very long time ago I purchased a 1972 Porsche 914 brand new and owned it for a total of 10 months before the dealer gave up trying to fix it. Of course, that was before the current system of consumer advocates, etc., but a corporate representative got involved and made the final decision to take the car back.
My advice to you is to see if you can get someone from the regional office involved. Decisions can be made quicker there, whereas the dealer will not decide on something that will cost him money if there is the slightest possibility he can get out of it.
As stated each state is different. Usually, the car has to be at the dealer X number of times for the same problem, or out of service for x amount of days, And be within certin time & mileage limts, & also have had to be brand new. Can't lemon a used car.
