I installed these awhile back,

Since installing them when reverse camera is on I get a flicker/distortion on the bottom half of the screen. When lights are off the camera is fine. It really bugs my wife and I am looking for a fix.

Would some clip on ferrite cores fix this? And if so would I put them on the LED wires, or the camera wire?

Those LED lights are the exact same ones I have installed in my 17 XLT. They have been in place for well over a year & I have had zero camera interference. I especially like the way they light up not only the plate but the area surrounding the plate as well.

Hey Mekks, I have LED replacements in my license plate lights and I get a little interference on my back-up camera as well. Mine isn't bad, just a little flicker once in awhile, but no real distortion. Just for giggles, I put the incandescent bulbs back in and the flicker/interference went away. I think it may have something to do with the resistance in the circuit, since LED have less resistance then a incandescent bulb with a filament. Mine is not that distracting so I have decided to just live with it. Not sure if a ferrite core or an RF choke would help or not, but since the purpose of them is to recreate resistance it may actually help. Maybe try one on the camera power and see if improves the picture. If it does, comment back as I would want to try it as well.

I think the first action to determine the cause is to simply reinstall the OE bulbs and check for symptoms. If none, then the new bulbs are your issue.

On my '18 Platinum, I too have AZ LED's and have no camera issues at all.

Good luck

Yeah its def the lights, I installed the normal lights back in awhile ago and it stopped. My box of clip on ferrite cores showed up today. Once it warms up a little I will do some testing and report back.
