95' Explorer XL
Hey, I'm looking to take my explorer off road, but it needs a nice lift. I'm new to trucks because I was a car person for awhile, I have an Explorer XL 95' and I'm wondering what sort of kit I'd need or if I even can lift it, because I hear that I cant... I have no brains when it comes to trucks so any and all help would be really appreciated.

I checked on superlift, I went to complete vehicle list, and for explorer's theres no option for 95, only up to 94 and then 96 and after. I don't mean to try anyones patience, incase I am, but yeah, I'm pretty lost haha

Something about the torsion bar crossmember being welded into place on that particular year Explorer (making it non-removable).

If you're willing to do a little grinding and I'm sure a little welding, I would think you should be able to fit the '96-'01 kit on it (maybe by using a '96-'01 crossmember after cutting yours off).

Also, can a 95 explorer automatic 4wd go off road ?
