I did a TT and AAL. I only got 3/4" out of the TT and 1.5 out of the AAL. I think I have the short bolts, sI I might try to longer ones to if I can get more out of the front. I am also thinking about warrior shacks too.

However, here is my question...

Since I am already running a 265/75 tire, I am pretty close to maxed out without a body lift. So, will raising the front and adding shacks give me anymore ground clearance or does the above just allow for bigger tires, which would give me more ground clearance? I am not sure I want to go through the "trimming" process on the fenders to fit bigger tires.

yes, a tt and shackles will increase ground clearance front and back, since they lift the suspension. the only kind of lift that does not directly increase ground clearance is a body lift.

and come on, trimming your fenders aint that bad :D

How does it add more clearance? I understand the TT does by pushing the wheels down in the front. However, how does a shackel add GC? Doesnt it just make the frame abit higher than stock? How would that make the center of the axel higher?

it increases the ground clearance at the frame.

it does not increase ground clearance at the rear axle.

OK, got it.

Thanks for the input...

Looks like I will go forward with the Shakles and new TT bolts.

the added ground clearance comes from the ability to run a bigger tire, like a 31 or 32 with the shackles and tt,

Great thread. Just what I thought and wanted to read.
