I am putting a 6" skyjacker lift in my X and was wondering what you thought about a 2" AAL and spacers in there as well. I have the 2" lift in now and was just gonna throw in the 6" ontop of that. Is this a bad idea or will it be fine.

i was thinkin 35's but now i might just go 33. Still deciding, i still have to regear before that though, do you think that set up will work? 2 and 6" lifts together? I don't see why they wouldn't work together but i thought maybe someone here has some experiences with this set up.

anyone?

Sounds like it would work to me.
It doesn't sound like it would break anything.

you might run into camber issues with that much lift... and you dont need 8" to clear 33s.....

I used the 5.5" SKyjacker with the F-150 coil spacers and have just enough adjustment for alignment. I could possibly put another 1/4" washer between the spacers if I wanted to but am tired of paying for an alighment. When I get my JD arms, I'll probably do that or just get the Skyjacker 8" (p/n 138)front lift.

I have the Skyjacker II 6" lift and f-150 spacers and 33 12.50's....I still had to trim about 1.5" off of my front fenders and still cut one of my tires tonight when I came down off a steep hill and it pushed the tire back and made contact with the sheet metal right where the fender is bolted on at the bottom by the pinch weld.

Do you have 8" or 10" rims?

Is that for me or Infragate, nak4af? I currently have 10" rims.

Yes it was for you. If you have 10" rims that causes your rims to protrude from the fenders that much more and cause clearance problems. that is exactly why I went with 8" rims instead of 10"s. I still had to have the rear part of my front fenders trimmed about an inch and a half too.

However...10" rims really make your truck have an awsome stance.

nak4af, yeah I probably should have went with 8's also. I was just trying to let him know before he spends 800 bucks in tires that he may have to trim if he goes with 33's.

I like the stance I just wish I knew exactly how much to eventually trim out of the fender so I don't take too much......one thin strip at a time. That brings something to mind what is that black foam rubber in the drivers side fender..sound deadening?

Really had to cut eh? Well at this point i think i am just going to put the 6" lift in alone and then attempt the 33's. If they rub i will probably put a small body lift in but from the way my truck sits with just a 2" lift i don't think i will rub with just a 6" and 33's. But i will have to go with 10" rims cause they just look too sweet with the 33's. My buddy has them and damn what a stance. I kinda want to widen the truck a bit too. But first i will get the lift on. Thanks guys.
