Lift questions

Ok, I am sick of my stock suspension and I want to get some bigger tires for the time being, and was planning on getting a body lift, and a rear add-a-leaf. The add-a-leaf would bring it up like 1 1/2 inches or so, but what could I do to the front? Has anyone used those little rubber things that go in between the coils in the spring? How about those? Also, I wanted just to get something small for right now until i get the money for a skyjacker 6" lift in the future. But would I have to do a spring over if I got that kit? Thanbks for the help.

Hey, Rock, no i haven't used the coil rubber spacers but i do have a spacer between the axle and the coil itself it just pushes the axle 1" further down, i think mine is actually 1 1/4" so it would be close to what you had in the rear. Also yes you get a spring over set up with the superlift 5.5" lift. It's a good thing though it increases ground clearance at the axle. also it costs less because you don't have to buy new springs. anyway i made my coil spacers out of a high density polymer, but i think superlift has them in either aluminum or steel in 1/4" plates you just stack up as any as you need. we are doing the same for one of my friends next week. the problem with tose rubber spacers is when you fully extend the coil they could either fall or work themselves out.

hope this helps.

Is the spring over fairly easy to do? I mean not easy but, would I have to have it professionally done somewhere? Is there some kind of perch that you would have to weld on the axle tube?
