I'm thinkin about liftin my '01 sport a little bit, maybe 3 inches or so. From what I've gathered so far, to do it the cheapest I'm going to want to put new shackles on the back and do a TT up front. This means Im going to have to extend my stock shackles 6 inches because I was told i get half of whatever i extend the shackle by. the rear sags a bit so i figure ill need to raise the front up between 2 and 2.5 inches to make it level with the 3 inches from the shackles. The TT can do about 2 inches with minimal extra wear on the CV joints. So my question is, where do I get that extra inch or half an inch? Coil spacers maybe? And what would I have to do to prevent damage to the CV joint? Thanks.

body lift would be cheaper...

Well im pretty shure that you dont want to go over 8.5 inchs center to center on the shackles because it messes with pinion angle. What I would do is a tt/shackles and a 2 or 3 inch body lift.

You have a torsion bar setup in the front so there are no coils to use coilspacers on. For the rear you can upgrade to the 4 door leaf pack and use an Add a Leaf and shackled to get the height you want. For the front you dont want to go any more than the 2 inches with the TT. Maybe you should just do the TT, and 4 door leafpack and shackles and a body lift.

how much would a 2" body lift set me back? is that a DIY job or would I need to find a shop to do it for me?
