99 2wd lift questions

Can I use ranger lift spindles on my 99 explorer 2wd ? I want to lift it 4-6 inches in the front I was thinking tt and spindles but didn't know if ranger lift spindles will work

So I bout an explorer today(more on the later) and my friend, who lifted his explorer told me that he used a 3" spindle lift for the ranger EDGE. he told me it wold work because the EDGE and the explorer have the same size rotor. Anyways just wondering if anyone's done this or not?
