I'm inheriting a 1999 Ford Explorer XLS from my father in a few months, and I had a few questions about modifications that I'd like to do in the future. I'm new to this stuff, so try and excuse my ignorance. I've been looking online at body lift kits ranging from 200$ to 1000$. I'm a student, so my funds are pretty low, as I can only work part time due to school. I'd like to be spend around 500$ for a lift kit. Any ideas? Tips would be great.

Get a98+ Ranger body lift PA883 is the part number. No body lift should be near 1k

would I have to purchase any seperate parts or is the kit all I need to do the install?

Ifs its 2wd a set of fabtech lift spindles for a ranger edge/explorer will run you less than 500 dollars and an idiot can install them in under three hours.

Its all there, I think you may have to get different rear bumper brackets not 100% though.

Thanks alot man, it's appreciated

Look on here for threads, there is a write up on it being done to an 01+ sport but same concept. Also Blee1099 sells the bumper brackets.
