Lifted Explorers=Rare?

Make that 2 lifted explorers I have seen. I just saw one yesterday at the mall. Looked to be an 94-96 model with around 34's. Looked nice, and a teenager was driving. By the way, it had Washington plates and I live in New Mexico.

I saw a lifted one in St. Louis, it was a 1st Gen and he had a decent size lift but pretty small tires, so it kinda looked weird.

I haven't seen any around here though.

Ive only seen 1 lifted explorer around here and it is a 1st gen. X. Other then that the only other explorers that I know of adn have seen with bigger tires or anything is mine and another member from the site is rydinhigh.

i have honestly never seen a lifted explorer in person. really.

I will show you one, one of these days!

At my college, last year, there we're like 4 lifted 1st gens amd a lifted 2nd gen. This year I've only seen 2 lifted 1st gens and a different lifted 2nd gen. They really stand-out in my school against all the Porsche's, Beemers, Aston Martins ect:confused:

There are 2 firt gen lifted X's and 2 2nd gen lifted ones here in little ole Auburn. I will be the third one of these days. And probably the biggest.

Ive seen 4 lifted explorers around my area well one was a sport trac. One was on 35's first gen, another first gen lives across the street from me on 32's. also saw one just like it at best buy but diff color and the sport track was on 32s also im sure with the 4" suspension lift. Other than that i havent seen anything else nothing but trail trash jeeps.

im the only sencond gen that i know of in the bay area, but within a few miles from my house are at least 2 lifted 1st gens. there is one that a guy is selling exactly one minute from my house.

WOW a year and a half old, nice. My Explorer is the only second gen on 33s that I have seen around Auburn or Montgomery. A few on 31s.

I have seen a few around my area, two of them are PAexplorer and the rookie. I have seen a first gen around the philly races, but this was a jersey truck.

san diego dude.... everything is either a lifted up explorer or ranger. Atleast in the poway area

In my town of 100k, I've seen about 5 lifted explorers.
One ghetto fabbed 2wd prerunner.
We've got mendonca's explorer.
I saw a 2" lifted one at In-and-Out.
A big white first gen, who ended up being a dick.
And a lifted green one, never got a chance to talk to him.

Just wondering if lifted explorers are considered rare. I bring this topic up because the city I live in has a population of 40000 and I have only seen 2 noticably lifted explorers in the past year or so. To get to my question, do explorers get lifted less(percentage wise) that other SUVs and trucks?

Thanks,
Ryan

Never! My city has about 80,000.

There is a member here named Johnstone who is in Houston area. He has a black Sport Trac on 35's. He is probably the one you saw.

Here in Phoenix, I've seen a pretty good amount, atleast 10 or 15. Southwest has alot of offroading opportunities so that might be why. I think even saw the pumpkin a few days back.....

never seen a lifted x before, but i do see lots of bentley and rolls royces

I live in LA with a few other million people and you don't really see any around here. If you do it a first gen. If you see a second gen...then it's me,Jefe or maybe Jobunn or maybe someone passing through....now that I think about it I don't think I have ever seen another lifted 2nd Gen around here. But there use to be a ST around. But I think the guy sold it.

I've only seen 2 lifted explorers EVER (both from this site... Nick26 and rydinhigh, who has since turned streeter :smoke: ). On another note, I've never seen a lowered X in person (other than mine).
