So i thought itd be interesting to see what kind of gas mileage people are getting with the mods they have done.
Ill be first to state my mods and mileage.

4.0 SOHC
4.10 gears auto tranny
Wix Air filter and silencer removed
NGK V-Power spark plugs
Freshly rebuilt rear axle from Ford
New front wheel bearings from Ford

33x12.5r15 Pro Comp Xtreme M/T tires
15x8 Pro Comp Xtreme Alloy aluminum wheels
3" body lift
2" Torsion twist

216 miles on the odometer when i filled up
filled up with 19.4 gallons
compensating the difference from the stock tire:
heres a way to calculate wheel circumference:
29" stock tires
29/2=14.5
14.5x3.14=45.53
33" mud tires
33/2=16.5
16.5x3.14=51.81
51.81/45.53= 1.137
equals 13% difference in registered mileage

216x1.13=244
244miles/19.4 gallons=12.5 mpg
i would really like to improve on this, i drive as slow as possible as it is.

im going to change to a smaller tire (31 or 32)
and do a catback exhaust
a XCAL2 would be awesome but i dont think that will happen anytime soon

2002 sport trac
3"Body Lift
4.10 gears on an open diff
285/75-16 tires

16 miles per gallon on the first tank of gas that I've had the vehicle. (Calculating for tire size) This is mixed city driving/ highway driving.

12.4 MPG is pretty low. Do you have a lead foot? I almost get 200 MPG per half tank of gas. Actually I get 188 or so per half tank.

2002 4x4, K&N, 265/75/16. I get about 15mpg no matter what I do. 55mph tent trailer quad in the back, 15 mpg. 60 mph empty, just my fat a$$ 15mpg. After a year or so wondering I just don't look anymore.

04 xls 2wd
3.73 open diff
265/75/16
2" TT, 2" shackle
Ford factory folding bed cover
dump after cat, no muffler

i get 14-16 no matter how i drive...

wish it was better, but oh well...i have a lead foot

With all of this stuff, I get about 17-18mpg.

Zabteck: Mod Throttle Body
C & L: Mass Air Flow Meter
Random Technology: Stainless Steel CAT
Random Technology: Stainless Steel Y-PIPE
Underdog: 8mm Silicone Plug Wire Set
Underdog Screamin' Demon: Coil Pack
MAC: CAI
Auto-lite: 6x-Double Platinum spark plugs
Magna-Flow: Stainless Steel Exhaust
Royal Purple: Full Syn Oil 5w30
SCT XCAL3
Rancho: 4x~RSX17000 Shocks
Adrenalin: Chrome 16" wheels
Michelin LTX: 265/75/16 tires
Performance Accessories: 3" body lift

And its also got 4.10 rear and 4x4. And I have a lead foot from time to time.

01 ST job 1 4wd
33x12.5x17's on steel wheels or 285/70/17's on alloys
TT, AAL and shackle
Edelbrock cat back 1 in 2 out custom
K&N cone filter
hard bed cover sometimes
4.10's
I get 14's without adjusting for the bigger tires.
12's pulling my utility trailer loaded or not.
I don't see any difference with or without the bed cover.
No difference with the lighter alloy wheels vs. the steelies.

01 ST, 33 12.5 mudders, K&N CAI, 4.56 gears, 3in body lift, 4in suspension Superlift. 14.4 mpg. on highway, 12 mpg around town.

well today i switched from my NGK V-power plugs to Autolite Double Platinums
AND i seafoamed it, 1/3 bottle in the brake booster line and the rest in the gas tank.
we will see if that helps any when i calculate my mileage at the end of next week.

Ok here it is. 3'' body lift, 3'' spindle lift, torsion twist, add a leaf, and shackle lfit, on 33''x12.50's, I think i have 3.73,auto tranny, open diff 2wd. Im not sure if i have a small leak, but since i ADDED THE SPINDLES, AKA 3 MORE INCHES OF ground clearance, my gas mileage sucks. Maybe because Im lifted higher in the fron than the rear, false gas meter readings? Or is it because of more air resistence. I get close to 200 miles on a full tank. Or is my odometer jsut off becuase i have 33's and thinks i have stock tires?

Oh ya i also took my exhaust off after the x pipe, i removed the muffler and tail pipe, amybe I should get a cat back?

second tank gone. 15.6 MPG mostly city. you really just need to watch how you drive I think. Read aldives thread ''My quest for 30'' Good ideas in there.
