Try to drive it on a trail and you'll appreciate your ST again.

Or just turn both trucks around and pull forward into a parking space. Backing in is easy. Neither will turn very short, but I'd rather park the narrow ST than the wide bodied Raptor.

I would still like to have one and now don't think I'll buy a truck other than a Raptor when the time comes.

Nice flex pic!

Buddy in his Jeep called out my ST at the dunes this weekend. Challenged me to a race up a hill. My wife was a little late starting the video. ST 1 Jeep 0

Not the greatest pictures ever but I added 1.5" spacers to the front, switched from Rancho RS5000 in the front to Bilstein HDs. Killer ride I gotta say. I'm sure Ranchos would be great if I had them all around, but they just didn't even out compared to the Monroe Load Adjusters in the back.

Also mounted my ScanGaugeII above the mirror. Took it apart and ran a couple bolts from inside the actual gauge out and drilled two holes in a mounting bracket for a radio I had layin around. Just slid it up between the headboard and the roof with some cabinet stops (the little rubber deals that stop them from banging into each other) and its pretty rock solid. I can take some more detailed pictures if anyone wants to see the mounting. This weekend I'll be fixing my emergency brake line which is still hanging loose and probably do a tire rotation before my big drive to Glacier in Montana for 4th of July!

Hope everyone is doing well. Keep the lifted pics coming how else am I going to get ideas for my next project :)

I like that SG2 mount. I've got mine on the dash between the windshield and the A pillar. Truck looks good with the spacers.

Dauntless how are you getting 17.8 mpg's?!?! I get 13 city 14.5 hwy. sucks!

Unless you truck has stock size tires and stock matched gears you're not going to get an accurate speedo/ odometer reading. Another thing that I've noticed is the members that live in flat areas get way better mpg's, it's all mountains and steep hills here in Pittsburgh so I get bad mpg's compared to members in the south or Midwest.

Yup, I get much better mileage since I moved out of the piedmont region around Atlanta to the flat south Georgia.

If you look at everything in his display, the 17.8 mpg looks to be an instantaneous readout @ 33mph.

FYI- I got 20 mpg on a 300 mile round trip last summer in my stock '02 ST. I've made virtually the same trip, taking care of my dad's estate and visiting my brother and sister-in-law, several other times and got 17.5 - 19 mpg. And my truck doesn't have cruise control. Yes, this is from central to southeast Iowa, but contrary to popular belief, most of Iowa is NOT flat. That trip is consistently hilly, but the climbs are mostly short, or long and gradual.

I've found that hills really aren't that bad. Let's say your flat ground average is 20. While going up a hill, you'll drop down to like 10. But coming down the hill, you'll get like 50 or more.

Just something I've noticed living near the mountains all these years. My ScanGauge backs it up as well.

The key is knowing when to start easing into the throttle so you don't have to mash it to the floor going uphill.

Others were posting about those living in flat states, and I was pointing out Iowa is not as flat as people think it is. Still, it isn't like being in the mountains.

That is the instant mpg. The avg to it's right is what I get over the trip. I do tend to get about 17 on the hwy and 14 in the city. What I've really noticed is how much the wind impacts me. I drive back and forth between Iowa and Ohio semi often to see family and last trip I got a tailwind. Avg 22. Coming back into nearly an identical wind I got 14.5.

Yeah, I know. My parents live in Johnston and I have extended family scattered all around the state- mostly centered around Cedar Rapids.

I've lived in Des Moines since '86, but I grew up about an hour and a half south of Cedar Rapids - between Mt Pleasant and Fairfield. One of my brothers moved to the Denver (CO) area in '99. He's one of the founders/owners of Oogie's gourmet popcorn. And one of my nephews lives in a high rise apartment building across from Quaker Oats in downtown Cedar Rapids.

I haven't noticed the wind much in my ST, but maybe I haven't really driven on the highway in the wind with it. I used to have a Bronco II that consistently got 18.25 mpg, unless there was a headwind. Then you could see the gas guage move.

Just got back from a trip to my brother's for the 4th. 255 miles round trip, half yesterday and half today. Virtually all on 4 lane roads at 65-70 mph. No cruise control, topper/shell on the truck with 200-300 lbs in the back. 18.8 mpg.
