Photos Lifted Sport Tracs Picture Thread!

The only way to get any real lift anyway is to just get bigger tires. To fit over 32s, though, you'll need at least some other kind of lift.

You can do a body lift on a budget if you are patient and do some homework. I bought my body lift for $80 on Craigslist and installed it myself. Best $80 I've spent on the Sport Trac so far.

What does a st with no lift look like on 32's?

First one I can think of is Clusterpup, but he did do a TT if I remember correctly. There are a bunch around, though. Search this forum for 32s or 265/75R16. You should come up with some useful pictures.

To stay on the topic of this thread, pictures, here are some I took today after I finished painting my cladding black, fabricating brush guard brackets to fit the body lift, installing the Westin Sportsman I've had since December and adding a 1.75" torsion twist.

Great job on the truck Hugh.

Nice man! I'm digging the green ;)

ok thanks for the help

Hey guys, I'm new to the forum but I have had my 02 ST lifted (in its current configuration) for about 5 years now. I took some pictures of it this morning to post on another thread, so I thought I would drop in and post them here as well.

It currently has 4" Superlift Kit, TT, Shackles, and 3" Body Lift on 36x15.50 R18 MTZ's with 1" wheel spacers.

I know it's not very practical, and it wears out ball joints, hub bearings like a son of a b.... but it makes me happy :) Hopefully a SAS is in its future. My goal is for it to operate as smoothly as Chad's ST.

^damn... hot trac.

?. is that not a front transfer case, and axles going to the front tires?

That is a big Negative! That's the steering rack you're talking about, with tie rod ends going out towards the wheels.

That is definitely and positively a 2wd sport trac.

I must be seeing things because there's a chrome finned diff cover sitting right behind the steering stabilizer shocks and if I'm not mistaken I see a front driveshaft going from the transfer case to the rearend housing.
Again, I might be just seeing things.

The APC show truck on page one or two is a 2 wheel drive, thats the one they are refering to not backdrafts, which is obviously 4x4.

Oh, ok. I saw the statement after backdraft posted his picture and it kinda thru me.

Major upgrades this past weekend, which has made my toy truck into a big boy truck. To date here are my mods - best one so far is the new shocks. Took the truck to the beach, and it was a BEAST! 33x12.5x15 on a 8" wheel with 4" backspacing. KM2 Tires. 3" body lift, 1.25" TT to level it out. (top of wheel wells are all at 40" tall) BL/TT/Tires gave me a 6.5" lift from stock. Rancho 5000's (Best mod to date). Custom Decal. Double Din DVD/GPS touchscreen system with rear view camera. Kicker Sub / amp system. 20% tint up front to match rears. Truck is very fun to drive now.

Looks really nice gbeals, those are the rims I've been looking to get for awhiale now and I think you may have just made up my mind.

With those tires you don't get any rubbing on the rear of the front fender/ cladding??

Soft 8 at summit - $47 ea. That is what made up my mind.

I get no rubs until I do a full lock turn down or up a slight incline. I went to the beach and was bouncing around and had zero rubbing. Im going to do some very minor trimming on the inside cladding, you will never even know it was done. Thanks for compliment though.

It looks sweet gbeals! Your truck looks really good with the black trim and wheels on that blue.
