Thanks for all the input. My truck is more of a DD and a lot of people had told me that 410s might be the way to go. I just got a coupon from 4wheelparts for a $199 install if you buy the ring and pinion there.
Travis is right. It's the same part numbers. There was an extra piece for the 5speeds which was the shift extension. Other than that they are the same.
That much lift, yes. As long as you have the bumpers at legal height (drop bumpers) and lower drive lights. The wheels and tires sticking out like that, no, that's why I'm going with a Grand Waggy axle instead of full width. He's in my old neck of the woods though so he's good.
Mine will be about two inches higher then Patricks when it's done. I'm making quick release drop bumpers for road use then pop off the pins and its trail ready.
mine is at the legal limit maximum for pa for the weight class of the sport trac... unfortunately lol, but there are plenty of ways to beat the system such as drop bumpers with quick release pins ect...
I've never seen anyone with quick release bumpers before, been thinking about a way to stay legal but have clearance for trailin' for a couple years now. Everyone I've seen with drop bumpers are always bolted or welded on.
Mine is looking like about 34-36" to the structural bumper (where it's supposed to be measured according to the law) but with my bumper cover its 30 front and rear. My hitch is sadly still at 24".
