I've got some ticking noise from my engine, and I believe I will have to change the lifters, and have considered going to roller lifters. I was wondering if on the OHV engine, if I could go to roller rockers as well, or if that's only for OHC engine types.

Our OHV 4.0 motors already have good hydraulic roller lifters. 99.9% of the time it's not the lifters that go bad, it's the wearing down of the rocker arm tips and pushrod cups, as well as the pushrods.

Go to this page http://www.deltacam.com/index.php and get the kit that you see on the lower right hand corner of the page. It's worth the money and the ticking will stop. What this kit is are new rocker arms with hardened tips and there is a hardened pushrod cup that they put in there also. It looks like it may also include new pushrods. At any rate, it will prevent that same kind of wear from occurring again.

I'm going to have to bookmark that page until I have the cash to buy it. Thanks for the info :)
