I have a 2020 Explorer Limited. The tailgate opens fine but does not close with the button on the tailgate, inside or on the fob. It makes beeping sound but it’s not the same sound as when it is going to close. Any ideas?

The unusual beeps would indicate that there is an issue with the liftgate, as you've discovered.
You can try this and see if it works. It is NOT a fix. Power liftgate won't open or close with dash button
Do you notice any resistance when closing it manually?

Yes is isnt easy to close. Then it connects and shuts in more. Like it should when it comes down on its own.

I seen a post where a person with this issue cleaned some sensors and it started working. He just used soap and water to clean them. He said there are 3 areas with the sensors that are long plastic strips with buttons on the end holding them in place. I'm attaching a picture where he marked the location with arrows. Might be worth a try.

I will probably run it over to the dealership in the morning and have them look at it.

I tried that link Dale and it requires a login, so essentially a membership. Didn't go any further. Might be helpful if you could post the picture.
