TT in the front and shackles in the rear will give you about 2 inches of lift and could do 3 inch body lift for about 5 inches. size tires want to run?

like i said I'm new but i think the largest is 31? correct me if I'm wrong. Also is it a DIY or should i bring it to a shop for when i get all the parts. I saw a skyjacked 4in lift kit somewhere also. just saying.

Thanks :)

Skyjacker does not make a lift kit for 97's. Only up to 95's. For 97-01 the only game in town for a lift kit is a 4" kit from Superlift that will fit 33's and it costs about $2000 plus installation. Well, there is Dixon Brothers but it costs double what the Superlift costs.
Or you can get about 2" with a torsion twist and Warrior shackles, installed with an alignment, for about $200.
Or a body lift for about $200 plus installation.
Or do a TT/shackle lift AND a body lift and fit 33's for $400.
Cheap to lift a little and expensive to lift a lot. It is what it is.

If anything i wouldn't do the super lift(dnt have that much money) But the TT shackles fitting 33's sounds pretty good, which I'm guessing can handle going off road pretty well?

what is the max height i can lift my ex? if I had the money?

Here is a great link for more info on lifting. Max height depends on a few things. Usually max height for a tt is 2 inches if you have 4 wd. Plus it doesnt pay to go much higher then 5" once you have 33" tires on since that is about the max size tire the suspension can handle unless you are looking to swamp in straighs axels. Otherwise the skys are the limits for lifting if you have the money. Remember higher isnt always better since it will increase your center of gravity as well.

alright thanks man. il prob stay lower than 5 if not at it lol

I lifted my 97 Eddie Bauer for about $20. I got about 3inches of lift outta it. I got some shackles from a 56 Chevy from auto zone. and welded them up to my factory ones.

i did 2" TT on the front and 3" add-a-leaf (extra leveled out rear sag) for the rear. TT=free, add-a-leaf=$65 and $18 for new u-bolts.

thanks!!! and is it reliable?
