My instrument panel cluster lights went out so I installed 6 LED lights using this guide http://www.explorerforum.com/forums/showthread.php?t=240166.

After reinstalling, none of the 6 LED lights work. I took everything apart and pulled the LED lights out of the plug and reinserted them to make sure they were well seated and then reinstalled everything again. Again, no illumination from the instrument cluster at all. The warning lights (check engine, brake, high beam, door ajar, etc.) all appear to work but there is no backlight illumination at all. The glove box light, dome lights, radio, headlights, flashers, fog lights, tail lights all work. My courtesy lights on both front doors as well as the license plate lights do not work. I checked fuses 7 and 11 and they appear fine.

I am at a loss. Any ideas as to what is going on?

LED stands for light emitting diode; diodes are one way devices. Horrid bad luck to get them all in backwards, but that is one guess. Pull one out, reverse it, and see if it lights up.
