I have a Bauer Vehicle Gear roof rack on my X and i am thinking about getting a light kit for it so i can mount a couple lights on top. I was wondering if any one that has done this could give me some tips on doing it, or if there is a thread point me to it. by the way i have a 98 XLT

i know how to wire stuff, I have offroad lights on my push bar. I just want tips on routing the wires and how to get them through the roof.

i ran mine from the switches down along the door plates and out the back hatch to the roof, no holes in the roof at all.
pics?

yeah can we see pics if you get a chance? :)
I am thinking of getting a surco rack and putting some lights up top, but that hatch doesn't give much clearance for the wires to run through, can we see how ou did it?
It looks like it'd pinch to me.

I just ran my wiring yesterday, haven't mounted the lights yet. But, I ran the wires down the passenger side kick panel, under the plastic under the doors, and up the pillar between the front and rear doors (where the front seatbelt is). They then come out between the front and rear door and the wires are ziptied to my roof rack bar for now.

I just drilled a hole in my roof. I installed a rubber gromet and sealed it with clear sealer. I could have run the wires under the headliner inside, but I just wrapped them with a short length of lume(sp) and then routed them down the driver's side, under the driver's seat and installed the switches in my center console where the tissue holder is...
