its a good cause... so for this one goes down for the sake of our vets... i can live with it. id rather this than cash for clunkers :)

Who says they'll scrap it? It could be sold.

And even if they do scrap it, who says it won't be used to keep Explorers like ours on the road? Parts can be sold, too.

actually thats true ive seen bunch of auctions of donated vehicles. good point

It doesn't appear to be strapped to the truck, so it might be scrap whether that was the intent or not!

There's a drug and alcohol rehab program in this area that auctions donated vehicles - running or not - several times a year.

Explorers have become kewl again! :)
revival!!!! country's cool again (or at least what they call country these days...)... and maybe explorers too!

My parents donated their 98 Expedition to Gary Sinise’s veterans charity. For a good cause, absolutely, and the tax deduction was significantly more than the vehicle was worth.

I hate seeing vehicles get parted out, but at least it’s for a good cause.

@C420sailor I hate seeing good vehicles get parted out, but salvage yards are a charitable organization which I support through purchases several times a year.

I'll take parting out before crushing any day!
