I was looking into one of those Liteglow\lowglow radi-color neon under car kits .. the ones with multi colored tubes. like green and yellow in one tube. Does anyone have one of these kits? Are they decent? And where can I get a kit? What are the range of prices on these kits?

Blader, Welcome to the best Explorer site on the net!! You'll find a lot hear, and everybody is willing to help when they can.

As far as the Radi-color kit goes, I've got the blue/green kit on my X. I've got to say I love it. It was easy to install and is nice and bright.

Here is a pic of the front 3' tube. It looks blue and yellow, but the yellow turns green when the power is on.

I bought my kit directly from low-glow. Check out their site: Low Glow. You can pick up a kit from them for $214 and I think that is shipped.

Hehe, i'll put my little 2 cents in here also.

I have all Street Glow ( www.streetglow.com ) neons on my truck, and have never had a problem. The Gold Seires underbody kit that Street GLow puts out has a lifetime warenty on it (anything breaks {excluding lexon tubing, which rarley does anyway} its free to be replaced).

Heres a pic of my truck, any questions just ask (i am not biased against lowglow, i actually wish SG made radi-color kits...i would get purple green :) )

neon kits

bigtigexplorer,
I love the look of the radicolor kit. Your truck looks awesome. The only thing I'm on edge about is if its worth the extra money .. I can find a StreetGlow Goldline kit online for close to 130$ shipped. But so far the cheapest I can find a Radicolor kit is 199$, and I don't think that is shipped. After shipping is all said and done it will be about 80$ more for the radicolor over a SG goldline. Is it worth the extra money? Have you ever had a problem with your kit?

bmxboy,
all that neon work you put into your explorer is awesome. I had been going to your site for a while. one of the original inspirations to put neons on my truck. I especially like the wheel wells .. what kind of neons did you use for that?

does anyone else know of any Liteglow\lowglow dealers online where I can pick up a Radicolor kit cheaper? Thanks for all the help guys.

Blader - Wow man...thats awsome! Thats awsome that i inspired you do put neon on your X! I see that you've only posted twice here...how did you come about finding my truck online....Sounddomain?

Good luck with your neons, if you ever need wiring help, or any help in general i'd be glad to help.

neons

bmxboy,
I only have two posts but I am a long time spectator of the forum :)

ps - ANYONE know any cheap liteglow\lowglow dealers online ....... ? :D

Oh, and the neons in my wheel wells are Street GLow 12" gold series replacement neons...they are bright little f*ckers

Carl

I've had this radi-color kit for almost three years now and its been on two different vehicles, I've never had a problem with it. As far as it being worth the $$$, if your determined to have a multi color neon kit, the radi-color kit is the most cost effective.

hey carl,

kickass on those neons, i especially like the interiors, but i got a quick question for ya, how did you mount the mini's under the front dash, especially on the right side, i mean there is no where to put one, i have a 96 non-EB and the heater is right there, where did you drill/tie-strap it, thanx

Thanks for the compliments 06nineo!

First...what i did is i broke off a metal piece that was under the dash  Secondly, i took the glove compartment out (not completely...made it so i can get behind it) and used wireties to hold the neon up..however i have JUST i mean JUST enough room to squeaze the mini neon up there...if you need pics i can get you some tomorow if ya want

Carl

hey carl,
what size mini's are those under the dash? i never really realized that there isnt much room down there, but i wanna put some blacklights or blue neons under the dash too. what size neon should i look for?

thanks, later

Cool Chriscush - I have 9" minis under my dash, and THEY ARE BRIGHT MAN! lol...alot of people can't belive the 9" minis...i relaly like them and haven't had probs with them :)

Carl

carl,

that would be cool if you could get me some pics of installing the underdash ones, both the driver and passenger sides.

oh yeah, do you have strobes under the dash too?
if so, where did you put those.

thanx,

james

well just wanted to say your x is tight! I wanted to put neons in my heater vents also what size did you use and on the right front heater vent is there a way to get to that easily or is it too hard to do or worry about and also the center console how did you get them in there?? thanks
Josh

Just by looking at the pictures they both seem to be the same brightness but in person, does anyone know which one is actually brighter?
