I have a 1986 ford four banger that has throttlebody fuel injection. When you start it up it runs fine for one minute or so than begins to load up. Blows black soot out the tail pipe. this goes on for sometimes 2 or 3 minutes than whammy it clears up for the rest of the time you have it running. But shut it down and it does every time it 's restarted. I am getting a 41 but that just states rich mixture. Replaced oxygen sensor nothing. I have a real good manual but it has no emissions section.

flush your system, im not fond of the 4 bangers and didn't know ford used a tbi on there trucks but you must have a dirty injector or your intake is gummed up causing it to bog out

for a cheap solution a can of sea foam around here runs for $10, i never used it but i have used the gm's own product and when using that i replace my pcv valve and along with a fresh oil change
