Explorer 2003
Hi Im new here and i bought a Explorer 2003 V8 for some days ago.
I got if for a good price with loads of wiring probs.
I still havnt got my sent after wiring catalogue so I pop the question.

Things that dont work:
All functions in steering wheel are dead like cc,stereo and ac.
I only got cold air blowing into my car.
Electrical mirrors
Remote locking and central locking
Window in trunk dot open.

I good guess after reading this lovely forum is that my CSM is :thumbdwn:

Looking forward to hear from you all.

Seems that Ford still can't make a reliable electrical package that works since my 97 X. It's an electrical nightmare. Hope someone can help you.
For me I'll just probably make a trail rig out of it and scrap every thing that ever had to do with the electric system and install my own.

Welcome to this forum! Lets take it one step at a time. The first problem is in the steering wheel. Does your horn, and cruise control work? If not, then it could be the clockspring. The lack of heat could be the famous blend door issue. There are many threads about this since it's so common. The next thing would be the problem with the power locks. Maybe your remote has a low battery or the keyless entry could be an issue. There are many threads on this too. The last thing would be the window in the rear which is stuck open. It could be a wiring problem, the track, the motor or a problem with the switch.

Thanks BrooklynBay.
My Horn works but the rest is:thumbdwn:
I will do a search on that blend door thing.
The only thing with my keyless entry that works
is that i can set some kind of door alarm.

My trunk-door-window does not open at the switch
and ive read that that goes through the CSM also.

I think there is one or two places there all this wiring meets
and makes the problem.I dont have the wiring yet so i cant
guess.
Does the central and remote locking goes into CSM??
