Hello,
Can't seem to find much about this in a thread that's not several years old, but has anyone figured out a way to install a lock on the glove box of a 2nd gen explorer? If not that, what about mounting a simple lock box anywhere in the car that's not very visible, maybe in the glove box itself?
Thanks for the help.

The 2nd gens don't have a lock on the glove compartment from the factory? Maybe some other models had them(if other 2nd gens did have them, you could probably get one on ebay for it)? I just put in a new lock in my 93 (had one from the factory, but no key) so I can put stuff in it when I want to take the doors off, etc.

If you don't have a factory sub, take out the pocket back there, and get a sub woofer cover. Use velcro to hold in on, and place a lockbox behind it. Very stealth.
