02 Ford Explorer
Hey all.

I've been all over this wonderfull forum gathering every bit of info I could about my new car an 02 Ford Explorer 4x4 Manual.
I hafto say its given me alot of ideas for future mods and very recently has saved me from having to sell it by providing me with information on how to get a flywheel, I'm currently in talks with a CA company that will ship a solid flywheel kit over here to Oz.

On a brighter note I have found Rancho :D now that was a mission and a half, I went to my local Suspension shop and asked what the going rate was on the kit front and back loaded system and they were like $2600rrp so $3000 with install cost and i was like  then i was like :nono: and left head down sad and defeated..... then on the drive home i was like :frustrate no i have the internet on my side I WILL DO THIS!!!
So a couple days later searching the net for rancho I finaly got onto Amazon.com after a few hours figuring out which providers shipped to AUS, I got the whole kit plus the myRide system just cause lol for only $1000 plus 400 for shipping and taxes. not sure exactly what sorta saving I got as i never got a quote on the myRide system, but I'm sure im saving a hell of a lot.
Cant wait to go down there and get a quote on the install and not tell them how much I bought it for till after they rig it up. I'm gona be like BAM IN YO FACE!!!

So the things to do next are 1.5" body lift, bull bar, spare tyre holder thingy, dual battery system, storage draw system for the boot and a solid roof rack.

suggestions will also be much appreciated.

thx Pete

I suggest RockAuto.com they have the best prices and have many shipping options to Australia.

You can get a dual mass flywheel shipped to you for 600 bucks. Or a standard one for a little more.

Ok I'll keep them in mind, this is where I'm getting the solid flywheel and clutch kit from www.southlandclutch.com. It seems like a good price and I can get my mother inlaw to go by and get it and then ship it to me, any suggestions for cheap shipping? So far I've found USPS to be the cheapest.

USPS are the cheapest but they take the longest about 2 weeks, sometimes longer if it gets held up at customs. DHL are kinda slow too. I prefer to use FedEx, they have a service where they put your package on the very next flight out and you get it in 2 days. But I usually choose a resonably priced service depending on the weight of what I'm getting sent over.

Yeah I'm not in a rush as I'm having to wait for my rancho
Kit to come over. Plus i would rather spend 250 on post than 500 so USPS it is.

I just can't wait to get it it all put together, I've never actualy driven offroad properly, I don't think burning down sandy back roads in an old falcon counts lol
