In the process of dropping my X 5" in the front, I have run into an issue with the sway bar links bottoming out on the Tie Rods. At rest, I have 1/4"-3/8" clearance between the Sway bar, and tie rods.....

The stock length is ~4" center-to-center. I would like to find one that is between 5.5"-6" center-to-center.

Obviously the geometry isn't going to be perfect anymore, but it's better than nothing, and driving my X without a swaybar is alomst dangerous with my tire/wheel combo, and my drop.

Thanks,
Ryan

could you drop the swaybar below the tie rods and use short links? Im an IFS guy but that seems logical. Advance auto and autozone have alot endlinks to choose from

Thought about that too, but after looking, measuring, looking some more..... I came to the realization that I can't do that.....I just need to move the bar up a little.

Thanks for the suggestion....

Ryan

I have the new links that came with an Energy Suspension kit, # 4.5155G
I decided that my 1998 stock links were as good for performance. The links are about six inches long. Do you still need some, check on shipping to TN. 37920. They would fit into a flat rate Priority Mail box. Regards,

get some links for a 2.5" lift? doesnt James Duff make extended links for their lift? there you go. longer sway bar links

its cheaper to just cut the stock ones, and weld in a 2.5" extention. doesnt have to be pretty, its just the sway bar :D
