Ryan - How much higher you going before you spring for SAS?

I thought if you cranked torsion bars higher than the factory bolt allowed (and even that far on some X's) that your front ball joints couldn't take the angles....that's part of why Dicon Bros long travel switches to joints with higher angles....?

LOL, I'm trying to avoid the whole sas due to $ and labor, well so far I think I have about 1 1/2 to 2" total tt with no problems so far, knock on wood. I ordered some b rated torsion bars to swap with my d's I have now and with these new bolts i'm hoping for 4" of actual tt, I talked with another member that is running this much tt with no real problems so far. I also got some superlift 4" springs super cheap for the rear. Hopefully the 35's will fit with some trimming  I'll let ya know :D

4" of TT with 4WD?

Yes sir, I'll let ya know how it pans out ;)

Cool, I would like to hear how it works out.

Oh, and go buy yourself a pillow for your butt! :D

I've never heard of a 4wd running that much TT... I bet the CV's bind up, and break.

Sry not allowed to tell you :p

Yeah right just j/k, nissanboy is the one running 3-4" of total tt, he confirmed this through pm to me, said that he has expierenced no problems with this amount of tt but regaurdless I'm going for the 4" and will do a lil write up along with any problems I might encounter ;)

Hey i was wondering if you could give me that web address, I'd like to order some myself. Thanks

http://www.mdmetric.com/ and ask for Scott.

Also, don't forget you will have to taper the ends of the bolts when you receive them. After I do this, I'll keep you all informed on how I went about doing this.

Are the stock bolts tapered at the ends? Never removed them so not sure, not exaclty clear on what you mean by these bolts needing to be tapered on the ends, not scared just curious :D

This is just as new to me as it is you. It's just something I've read when trying to research where to find these bolts. From what I understand, a grinder will do the trick, but I'll know more once I have them in my hand and am laying under the truck.

I've got a longer set, but am scared to put them in. Please post results, specificaly if the ride becomes even more bumpy or still. And ESPECIALLY if anything breaks.....
