Look at the pic below and tell me if this will work. I'm rerouting the intake tube to the driver side. I would trim down the tube a bit so I could get the filter positioned, but is this a good idea? There is no rubbing of the belt, and I would fasten this down so it wouldn't move. I'd get a longer tube that connects to the intake tube, and I would extend the MAF wires. Go or no? Thanks!

I think it would work. Let me know how it turns out. I've thought about getting a kit for the newer Explorer and remote mounting my batteryso I could getget the filter closer to the headlights for some cooler air also.

looks like it'll work, but why run it all the way to the drivers side? Lots more length for incomming air to travel and pick up underhood heat
