Well, lately I have been wanting a bigger lift so saved some money up and now acting on it. Currently my 97 XLT sits on 31" BFG ATs with Warrior Shackles, AAL, and the TT up front. Now the plans are starting to upfold.

Last week bought some 32" BFG MTs that are waiting patiently to be put on.

Well, today brought my 3" BL.

And my 15x8 Cragar Wheels.

What do you think?

Well you're off to a good start when are we gonna see the finished product??
remember lots o' pics! :D

It ain't really that hard but it is time consuming depending on the condition of the body mounts if there all rusted up then it might be a PITA.

Yeah, and the problem is I have no tools or experience doing any of this. Thankfully a few people I am willing to pay know how. Will definitely post pics when the finished product is up. Stay tuned.

nice wheel choice lol i have the same ones but 15x10. believe me when i say if you could find someone to loan you tools it is quite rewarding when you do it yourself.

But then again, I would have no idea where to begin. Cars is not my thing. Audio systems is more like it or some computer stuff. Not cars.

i really hate it when people give up before they start my brother is like that, he woln't even change his own headlight he always tells me "i don't know how, i'm not a mechanic" my reply is "neither am i... i just learned how to do things by doing them" There's very few projects i jump into knowing what i'm doing but i get alot of stuff done

Ahhh, memories. My BL kit and black steelies arrived a few short months ago. Those were good days.

Good luck with everything, be sure to post pictures of the finished product.

No, your taking me wrong. I want to do it. The only problem is I don't have a place, or tools to do it. If I did, then hell I'd try but not guarantee everything to go right. I am just wanting to have someone who knows what they are doing and I tag along watching and learning.

Will definitely post pictures. I cant wait for it to be lifted.

me and a buddy jumped in head first with only common sense keeping us a float ha but all we needed was about 15' span of driveway to get the lift on and a nice impact/air set and after about 8 hours later completed...

key notes:
-make sure all of your body mounts are secured with the right bolts before putting the thread lock on
-make sure there is no space in between washers and bolt head i found out the hard way when my mounts were popping.
- and last thing make sure you have ALL of the sockets needed so it wont take you 8 hours. i coulda done it in about 4 but i had to go all over town for impact sockets that i needed that i didnt know i needed until the time came.
i think its a 15mm,18mm,19mm or maybe a 20mm that are key

Yea, and if I remember correctly the 18mm for the front two to get the nuts off needs to be a deep socket.

Dude i know where you're coming from I'm an autotard. But instead of paying them to do it for you, get your ass under and have them tell you what to do. Get some wrench time in and you'll start to change that "not a mechanic" into i'll give it a shot.
