It does sound like rust proofing, which I did at new car dealers for a short time, yes very messy. We did under coating and the rust proofing, but as expected, it was a fast not fully covering everything job for an employee. Cars have tons of places that are not accessible. The only good way to coat a vehicle is before or during assembly, the manufacturer should do that. I had my 99 fully apart, so when the body was done and still off the chassis. I used 3M undercoat, three cans did all of it except the wheel wells, I ran out then.

Oh, how I wish my vehicle had the same undercarriage protection.

I have a 04 Limited for sale if anyone's interested in a good find. I blew the O/D out of the tranny so it will need rebuilt but other wise a solid Truck.

I have done the following:

1) rebuilt the front & rear ends
2) rebuilt the rear diff (bearings and seals only)
3) removed the rust and coated w/Rustolium primer for rusty metal
4) Just replaced the valve seals

It runs great w/126,500 miles and tires w/about 50% tread. Inside it's clean and well maintained. Located in N. AZ. selling it for $2,500 as is or $6,000 if I have the Tranny rebuilt w/Transferable warranty. I have done to much work to send her to scrap...

Still moves but without O/D plus U get a lot of lights, bells and a few whistles.

Saw an Ex that looks exactly like your purchase, also very clean and straight $4999, just south of Shelton on Hwy 101.
No place to pull the 22 wheeler over and get a close look at her, so can't speak to mileage or interior
Would really love to get a spare low mileage Ex, but not w/ the prices here!

Did the rear sway bar bushings and links

I did install both manual timing chain tensioners great so far

Have to say this ex has been a great buy so far

I also replaced the Front wheel bearing with a timkin unit

Next I have to figure out the blend door
