Well sound is a personal choice. So it is up to you. It also depends if you are going to add a sub woofer. If not the Kenwood as a lower frequence range, so it should be better on bass.

I already have 2 Rockford Fosgate 12" subs. Lookin for louder sound. That is why I am amping them.

If you all ready have subs, I would go with the kickers. I feel that if you are going to connect an amp to them, then with that you'll be able to tune the system to the best possible. You don't need to have speakers that are handling the lows when you have subs. The subs will just drown it out anyways.

whatever you do dont buyem from crutchfield, waaay overpriced usually.

Seth2472006, Cfield does price matching... and they are reasonable. Where did you get it that they are overpriced so?

I think they are pretty reasonable. On my Pioneer headunit, I got it $10 cheeper plus all the hardwear needed free. Thats not to mention the free shipping. All-in-all it saved me over $50 (with the free shipping).

I get stuff from sonicelectronix.com. And ive never done chruch's pricematching so I don't know if its anygood.

They're great...

I also am looking to get new speakers. I have heard good things about ones by Phoenix Gold(also found on ebay). Someone I know really recommends them. I have never heard of the brand, but I have heard people say they sound good, and don't cost much at all. I don't really have a way of listening to them before I buy, but I could just return them / ebay them if I dislike them. Does anyone here have them?

I have the Kenwood 6x8's from best buy all around in my Exploder...each speaker getting about 60-75 watts rms....they SCREAM. Sound excellent also. There is no reason to look at a speaker by how well it will produce bass....those speakers linked are not meant to play sub bass...that is why there are subwoofers.

I mean my speakers in my doors will play down to 40Hz...but trying to play them loud with a full range signal is going to sound like crap. I high pass mine around 100Hz and they sound amazing.

infinity kappa's are the way to go especially if you have subs cause they don't kick much bass

Phoenix Gold has been around for a long time. The started off just making amps, some of the best I might add. As for the speakers, I have not personally heard them so I can't say if they are any good.
