Hey guys,

I have a 1994 4x4. I want to buy a set of 20's. I browsed the net for a few hours tonight looking for some. I was pretty unsucessful. Do you guys know of any wheel sites or any brand of wheel that makes 20's that will fit my X?

Thanks,
Mike

Be prepared to spend a $hitload of $$$ for 20's

That's a pretty good site, they have alot of wheels to choose from.
Thanks

The 20's are kinda expensive, I may go down to 18's :(

What do you guys think about these 20's? They are MKW-MK9.

Nice indeed! I've been looking for some new rims too, 18's or 20's. :D

mikey, nice 20's, but no offense. i cant really stand how 20's look on "bigger" suv's. its to outdated already. your not pimpin unless your sportin 22's or 23's.....

23's on an Explorer......you must be dreamin'

There is no way that I can fit much more than 20's. It's not like I'm sporting an Escalade or Denali. They are big enough for me

the 20s on that tahoe look pretty sweet. i mean, i love 20s and all, but i dont know if i like em on explorers - explorers arent big truck and 20s kinda look like wagon wheels, heh. i actually like them on bigger suvs. personally, i like 17's cuz they look good, the tires are cheaper, and theyre a good size to get some performance, too, not just all show; 18's also look really good, sean's got some nice ones (sideswipe.)

good luck.

I would never go bigger than an 18 on an explorer, I just wouldnt trust such a small amount of tire. And as tbomb said, it just looks a bit funny and a bit gaudy (In my opinion). Then again, what do I know...

Look at www.superbuytires.com They pretty much have everything there. I never bought anything from them, but you can look around. If you like something, just call or email them to see if they make them to fit the Ex. The bolt pattern is 5x4.5 which is hard to find with 20-up.

Not that my opinion matters since I'm geared toward off road, but I would also say stick with the 18's for that kind of look. 20's are huge for the explorer, while 18's will still look good and be cheaper.

I just picked up a set of MKW MK9 20" rims. I can't wait for the spring to come so I can put them on. :) Thanks for the advice guys.

I haven't bought tires yet. I need to save up some more cash. What size tire should I run on a 20x8.5 wheel. I want to go with the largest one I can without rubbing.

Thanks,
Mike
