I am tired of this open diff spinning. This is my DD and the wife drives it too. So I need something that is streetable but can get me where i want to go. I was wondering if I could just get a LSD to put in or swap I have very little know how, but this forum has been a great help.

Thanks all

Tired of open diff on the street or off road? If you're tired of the street use open diff, I'd suggest LSD because it'd mean you're hard on it. If you find you're spinning it up on the trail, I'd suggest an Aussie locker.
If you're hard on it on the street or your wife has a lead foot, You'll find the lunchbox lockers will eat your tires, go with LSD.
I don't notice my Aussie in the rear at all on the street, but then again, I treat my baby nice. On the trail, I'm constantly amazing the local Jeepers with what my rig can do.

Lockers

Tired if it on the trail in the deep snow and mud I need something that will pull me through. I am tired of getting stuck when all I need is for that other tire to turn. This is driving me nuts I spent 1 hour today digging and rocking when all I needed was for some power to be transfered to that other tire.
We don't drive crazy on the street but we dont baby it either.
Would an Aussie Locker effect the turning much?
I was looking at air lockers but they are a little out of range.

Thanks

I don't notice it on the street at all, but I don't "give'r" either. I just drive average around corners. The worst thing that happens with an Aussie is the wheels lock up around a corner while accelerating and they give a slight squeel/chirp. There is no ratcheting sound with mine that you seems to get with other lunchbox lockers.
