I am looking for the dimensions of the exhaust manifold studs. The thread call out for the studs as well as the location of each hole.

Anyone know where to find such information?

Not sure what you mean by dimensions of the studs. You can use the thread gauge from a Tap and Die set to measure the thread count if thats what you need. The locations of the manifold mounting components are pretty obvious from looking at the motor. both on the 8 cylinder and 6 cylinder.

i am trying to design something. I am looking for the exact dimensions for the heads on these engines, specifically the locations of the exhaust manifold studs. Yes i can see where they are, I cannot however measure how far they are from each other. I am in need of precise distances between the tapped holes in the head for the studs.

finding the information for the size of the studs themselves is easy enough but i figured i would ask and see if the answer was on the top on someones head and might save me some time.

I was hoping someone might have access to a CAD file or something with detailed information.

I think i forgot to mention, this is for the 4.6 v8 on a 2006 limited. I would also love to know if these dimensions might be the same between 2 and 3 valve engines, mustangs, crown vics, explorers, f-150's, etc.

Try buying a new factory exhaust manifold gasket and get your dimensions for there?

Use that as a template.

That should give you center to center which you might be looking for.

A good set of calipers and a machinist ruler and you could nail it almost dead on.

CAD drawings are going to be factory \ foundry propitiatory I would think.
