98 Explorer XLT
Ok heres the deal I have a 98 2WD explorer with 143,000 miles and giving it to my son to take to Minot AFB with him. I will be going with him and flying back. The Explorer has been a great truck for the wife and I and both my kids drove it as they grew up. We have had the oil changed reg. along with basic service. We did have to replace the fuel pump a few months back other than that nothing major.

Question:
What if anything should I do to the Explorer before our trip. We leave a week from Friday. I think I will have the transmission serviced, but should I have the plugs changed or what due you guys/gals think.

Thanks

Sounds right- probably plugs and wires, grease everything up, and check the brakes. Also check operation of the ABS since he'll probably need it up there in Minot this winter! :)

Many thanks for allowing us the honor of having your son protect and serve! :salute:

welcome
