Looking for name of engine part

Hello, i have 1994 Ford Explorer (Eddie Bauer Edition) .. while driving i noticed steam coming from under the hood- passenger side near the wiper blade.
After examining where the leak was coming from i noticed two smaller rubber hoses leading into a part that is plastic and broken... i do not know the name of the part that they lead into???? And i guess that is my question---What is the name so i can order the part ???and do i have to get it from Ford??? or the local parts store??? So if your looking at the engine --- the area is near the back/left / top--2 hoses (covered in a heat insulation) leading into ONE part. and what is the name of that part?????

maybe your heater hoses are loose? or cracked/split at the ends?

post a picture, it will help lots.
even a halfass cellphone pic will do

Heater control valve. Have fun replacing it, and a local parts store will be cheaper than the dealer. Check out Rockauto.com

it was the heater control valve... $17.99 at local parts store... replaced in about 15 minutes... thanks
