hey guys,

So I recently did the shackles/TT lift on my 02 sport, and now I'm looking for bigger/better tires. I plan to order the American Racing ATX Dune wheels (17-8.5) and want to run 31 inch tires. I want to get tires with an aggressive tread pattern because I want them to look good, and I plan to hit the trails up by my cottage, but they also need to be good in snow and rain to handle the crazy michigan seasons.

Any suggestions will be a great help

depends on how aggressive you want the tires to be,
there are a lot of options for 31 inch tires,
i have used the GoodYear Wrangler Territory tires on my 99 4 door, they have been pretty good, and decent on the highway as well, they look good,,and perform great off road too, and very good in snow,,
i liked them so much i put them on my new ride, an 08 Ranger,

I was looking at the Toyo Open Country R/T, but as of now, they dont have them in the size I am looking for, but I read online that they are supposed to release more sizes later next year. As for how aggressive I want them to be, I want something with a Mud Terrain look. I am not worried about road noise too much, because I have a FlowMaster Delta 40 series muffler on there now, but plan to switch to the Super 10 muffler. I also looked at the Dick Cepek Fun Country and Mud Country tires. I want to try and avoid any fender modification when I get the new tires if possible. I dont see the Goodyear Wrangler Territory on Belletire or Tirerack when I looked. (I'm from the US)

Also, as far as rims go, what is a good with to go with? I originally planned to go with 8.5" to get a little extra width, but should I go wider? This is my daily driver as well.

I would go with Duratracs. They are great off the road and on wet pavement.

I love my Duratacs, and would recommend them to anyone.

So when it comes to tires, I'm not exactly what you would call an expert, if I'm running rims I mentioned before, what are the tire measurements I'm looking for
