I live in Northern Virginia. I have a hard time of doing much off-roading in my Navajo, because I really don't know of any opertunitys to do anything. Since this seems to be a forum where people can tell me where I can go to 4wheel I am asking if anyone may know of anything. Thanks

Moved your thread

Hi Peter,
I moved your thread to this forum, because you are more likely to get an answer here than the registry forum.
I can't help you on places to go since I live in Cali.

Peter,

Check Dead Link Removed. Its a club with members in N Va, Md and a few in DC. Meetings are in MD and VA alternating months. I am a member - though havent done much this year.

We have rides on the public land in Va in the George Washington National Forest ( fairly mild trails)
Also trips to private parks like Paragon, and Dave Walls place in PA.(serious to wild stuff). There is also a fairly big group that goes to Big Dogs which is a twice annually(June, Sept) weekend of wheeling on private land about 60 min away which has trails from 1-9. The June event is taking place this weekend!!! I hope to go this fall- not looking good at this point -but maybe. We also have sporatic trips to Tellico, and the NC State Forest- the name of which escapes me at the moment. A few members also head out to assateuge(sp?) to do some beach wheeling every once and a while. The clubs trips are all on legal trails.

As to the local scene No legal or permitted land near by. Most is do at your own risk, and most times not worth the risk. But in N Va I know a few people who head out to an area near 234 although the advice has been dont go alone and do not leave your vehicle. Similar to the Coca Cola drive area in MD near Bowie,- been a while since I was out there though.

Check it out -get on the mail list see whats up. Should be some good trip reports/pics from Big Dogs and there is a Paragon trip this weekend comming up, and someone is calling a ride just about every weekend. Guests are always welcome.

It would be good to have another Navajo around!! Hope that helps a little.
