Wow man just wow :D!

Whats a good battery to have in the back? (Something that doesnt need venting or whatever)

Best bang for the buck? I cant afford the Kintik id really like to have :(

Hows your alt. holding up? Ive been reading up on them and it just scares me right away from them reading SO many more stories of them failing in <1 year and not being able to get ahold of the manuf. and whatnot about a warranty.

yah the batts in the back do need venting but i havent gotten that far lol im gonna move them to the back on the other side of the box and isolate the batteries and vent out the side. ive never heard of anything bad with Machman! my alt that i got is a beast and the guy that owns the company will sit and talk to you about anything! best alt ive gotten so far, and ive gone through 3 different companies

oh and best bang for the buck would be wet cell that would have to be vented. you can find some good deals on car audio forums for gel cell batts.

Cool, youve been alot of help man, I thought I knew a good ammount about all this crap but damn was I wrong haha.

Does machman have a website?

This may be another dumb question, but how do I tune my amp for the best/loudest sound?

1 depends on the settings on your headunit
2 depends on how much your subs can handle
3 depends on how much power your car can give your amp without starving it and fryin it
there are alot of ways in doing all this but i would just youtube that ? or google. im sure someone went through all the steps somewhere

Guess what I got today :D

Congrats they are overrated and very unreliable.

Thats why my 1606d only lasted the last 5 years (Still pushin strong) being beat to hell and back.

you got lucky. The fact is that they do nowhere near rated power and have an extremely high rate of failure. They are built for the mass uneducated market. Maxxonics has driven the name Hifonics into the ground along with others. Show me a series VI through X and I will be impressed.

I am not trying to insult you.....You just need to do some more homework before making a purchase and get your moneys worth. Contact Stephen mantz at Zed audio and ask him what he thinks about those amps.

lmao ive clamped mine! and i got 2450 out of it so that is very good for nowhere near rated!!! and ive never had any problems with any of the hifonics amps that ive had in the past and i give them hell...

oh and check some of my vids in post 23 of this thread and tell me that doesnt look like rated power.

I'll give you that. Those vids are crazy. I can't believe you didn't break any glass. If you look at the vast overall picture of those amps the failure rate is much much higher than it should be. Hifonics has contacted Stephen mantz to redesign their amps because of the extremely high failure rate. The glory days of that company are yrs behind them. The only thing left is the name itself. If they work for you I am happy for you but there are much better choices.

thats becasue people think they can run a big boy stereo without the batteries or alt to run them. my amp at full tilt for the entire ride to and from work everyday(40min each way) will not even get warm. no clipping and voltage stays above 14v mean s clean power and amp will last along time

Do you really think those amps will be around 10 or 20 yrs from now? They are meant to be disposable. The Zed built Usacoustics amps that I run are from the mid 80's.
