Looking into a replacement 5R55e---need interchange info please.

If there are any Ford techs out there or any tranny experts, I could sure use your help on this one:

My vehicle 1998 4x4 SOHC 5r55e

the swap vehicle tranny as labeled:

924 RNG/EXP 4.0 MY 01

according to the seller, it came off a 4x4.

Let me know your opinions, as I really need to get this thing fixed.

An additional bit of info that might help...

I just did some research and found that the SOHC was the only 4.0 for the trucks (both Explorer and Ranger) in MY 2001. So the gear ratios should be the same as the 1998. The only problem I see is maybe the electronics would be set up different.
