Hey everyone, I'm looking to lift my buddies 2002 Explorer Sport 2WD. I see that it has t-bars, but since it has a SUA in the rear I'm unsure how to lift the rear. With a t-bar crank and what ever I need in the rear, will I be able to fit 32x11.50's while using the stock wheels?

You can use shackles or add a leafs in the back to gain lift, or also use F150 springs to add to the pack. The 32's will probably fit with it being 2wd and you can crank the torsion bars like 3". I am runnign 31's with no lift at all so it should be fine.

Wouldn't an add a leaf lower it since it's a spring under axle? I'm thinking of just doing a shackle in the rear with a t-bar crank. But I'm not sure which shackle to run in the rear?

warrior shackles part#WAR-153 lots of websites have good deals on them for around 50$ a pair

Well, I'm the guy that owns the Explorer, and from what it sounds like, this is the best way to go about it. I've already started looking into WAR153s tonight and I'll just talk to Brenton tomorrow to brainstorm on it. Thanks for the help, guys. :salute:

i did mine with add a leafs. it still works under neath. what it does is it arcs the rear springs up, which if you look at it makes sense . this make it lift your truck. it works i promise!!:D

good luck!! oh and when you are done post some pictures of it

I fit 32s on my '01 Sport with just F150 rear leaves and .75" front TT.

I now have 33" x 11.50s with only a little more TT.

You should be able to fit 32s with shackles and TT. And be able to do the whole job under $100....don't forget the alignment after you crank up the torsion bars.

I ended up doing TT/Shacks/3"BL. Check out my write-up too, it's a winner!
