Loose Door Rattle

Hi,

I have a couple of doors on my X that seem to be loose and rattle a lot when I drive over uneven surafaces or bad roads. I think it's the hinges/pins and I tried looking for them but I cannot find the hinge repair kit for my X.

I have a 2002 EB V8.

Does anyone know what the part number is for those or if it's a direct match to another Ford year/model?
(Yes, I searched but only found information for second and first gen explorers)

I would like to do this before the hinges get messed up, too. :exp:

I just talked to Cliff Till, Export Sales Manager at Dorman Products (Help!). He told me that the 38438 kit that others here have used for the first gen explorers is also the same for 02 Ex.

I'm waiting for him to get back to me with the specs of that kit.

I measured the length of the pins yesterday: Front-nearly 6cm, Rear-nearly 7cm. or vice versa.

If anyone knows the length width of the 3rd gen Explorers, that would be really helpful. Or if someone has an idea of how to measure the pin while its installed then I could measure it myself.
