Hi all, my 2003 Ford Explorer Limited 4.6l 4x4 230,000 miles lost oil pressure. I has driven about 5 miles and a red light on the dash (hi temp/lo pressure came on & seconds later the Guage dropped to nothing. Oil level is good, no codes were thrown nor did cel come on.i pulled over right away & had vehicle towed home. Wierd thing is motor vehicle was running great. It doesn't act like a motor that's lost lubrication. Is it possible it's a.sensor.any feedback would be greatly appreciative

It could be. You could swap out the pressure sending unit to see if that restores the oil pressure reading to the gauge. I would not run it until you do this. Ideally, you should take a mechanical reading of oil pressure to be sure that the oil pump hasn't gone bad. Running the engine with a bad oil pump will destroy it in short order.
