You know the sound the motor makes when a plug wire is off, multiply that by 10.....happened almost instantly, yesterday I heard a slight rattle, which I though to be an exhaust leak, meant to take it in this week and have all the gaskets checked. Driving around town today, all of the sudden, it was like a plug wire was pulled, incredible noise. Pulled over, opened the hood, and it was loud. Drove it home and parked it. It is a 2001 Eddie Bauer with 160,000 on it.
It is still driveable.
Anyone have any ideas???
