Dear All Experts,
I am feeling low efficiency of my AirCon; it was winter here so I also didn’t pay attention, since summer is started, I should do something because I live in Abu-Dhabi, UAE where temp reaches +50 in peak,
I checked gas pressure, 60 PSI suction around 1000 rpm at idle. no leak also ; Don know what to check further, any tip or help will be appreciated.

Thanks & Regards
Matie

I'm assuming you mean the suction line? 60 PSI seems a little high for the low side, usually it's somewhere between 30-40 PSI.

Do you have a reading of the high side as well?

Hello TheJackal,
Yes mate, it is low side pressure & you are also right about pressure range, it was around 45 when I bought 2 years back & tought might be bit less, hence top up bit, I actually didnt check high side, if compalsory or banificial then I can check,
Is there any line filter/ strainer or basket filter in line?? or front of evaporator coil?? bear in mind Its 96 built & never oper or checked,
Thanks & regards

Yes, both high side and low side pressures would be helpful, but please only check them if you have the proper gage set to do so. You could hurt yourself seriously & damage your car otherwise.

These systems use an orifice tube, which is located right as the refrigerant enters the evaporator. If, for some reason this becomes clogged it can cause a pressure issue.

I'm in Dubai. Similar problem on my 2004 Explorer. Gas leak on evaporator, so evaporator core to be replaced. Airflow volume also not what it should be, so Ford suggested the chamber assembly ac plenum to be replaced

Low A/C Cooling

If u live in Dubai, u must familiar with climate here!
To be honest dealer’s technicians or capabilities are so narrow or limited, first they normally are not interested to work on 6/7 years old vehicles!
Believe it or not, last year I felt bit rumbling sound in front wheals of my truck, I tried to figure it out, with reading some blogs, then went to Al-Tayar motors, they charge me inspection charges, & said wheal hub bearings, I bought set of new & fixed my self, take test drive SAME!
Went back to dealer, they said its CV joints then, cost of new they quoted was way high high, I went to cemetery (Muspha) & had a deal with one of used parts supplier, that he will fix from his store, if the noise is gone I will pay him parts & labour, if not then he will remove his parts & I will pay only labors !
GUESS WHAT??
STILL THE SAME,
Went back to dealer, he confirmed “THIS IS FRONT DIFFERENCIAL” this time!
Well nothing left behind I said! BUT the cost of ONLY front differential was some thing AED 24,000.00 Parts only with out labor,
You know, the worth of this truck is not more then may be 9/10 thousands only!
SO, I decided to visit back the cemetery & find the same deal as before, I did find one at reasonable prices, but he was busy & give the time on 3rd day,
On the way back, I had a thought in my mind & stopped at tire repair shop, advised him to swap front 2 tires on back & bring rear tires on front, He asked WHY??
Just do it plz.
Hay man u not ganna believe it, it’s over a year now, NO NOISE NO RUMBLING!!
Let me tell you I went to Firestone dealer three times & show them my tires, every time after inspection they said, nothing wrong with tires, its mechanical problem!!

Coming back to the original issue, I fixed it with additional fan, its working well, finer crossed!!
Cheers!!

I am assuming the temp is celsius right?

What is the high side pressure and the ambient temp at the same time? 60 psi is high but the airflow could have a bearing on this...Are you using an engine-driven fan and, if so, is the fan clutch in good shape? The low side just tells me what the evaporator temps are approx but the high side tells me more what the condition of the a/c system is...

Thanks, Ranger 7ltrs. for your reply,
initial post was placed on 2007, my A/C issue was solved since I fixed extra fan, refering back to your question, certinaly it has engion driven fan & one electric driven, addionally i fixed one more electric driven, i noticed it was bit over charged too, so i drained a bit gas, its working Ok.

Current Issue!
I am feeling Engine is losing Pick-up?
I changed s.plugs / wires / f.filter / A.filter / Engion oil etc. its improved a bit BUT still i feel, pick up is low, its taking bit long time to reach 100km, once its achived then it go faster enough for me like 105 miles/hour.
any suggestion ?
Regards
Matie
