I did a search, but didn't find a clear answer.

I know our gauges are as usefull as idiot lights but when my Mountee has sat over night and the temp is 40 or less. My oil pressure gauge sits at 0 for a minute or so.
At pops up and is fine after the engine temp is up a few degrees.

Do our gauges suck that bad and Im ok? Or is there a problem.
I use Amsoil 5w-30 and still get the problem.

This usually happens with the SOHC engines. The connection at the sending unit probably just needs to be cleaned. As long as you are not hearing nasty valve noise during that minute, no need to worry....

Thanks TPLYNCH, odd thing is that it works fine in the warmer weather.
