Thanks to this board I have finally found out why my 1997 Explorer starts and runs so badly each morning, the lower intake manifold o rings. This problem has plaguede me for 18 months with little joy fixing by the dealer. But hows this, Ford Australia will not replace them free as you are able to in the U.S.

Any suggestions on how to get Ford Oz to foot the bill, which is $300 Oz Dollars by the way.

kick them really hard in the nuts, and when the tears start running, nick off with their wallet.

FORD CERTIFIED TECHNICIAN

Hey this is only appicable if you have under 75,000miles
and your vehicle is less than 5 years old. Go to your local dealer and tell them that a friend of your was given assistance on a repair called a po5 by ford. They will be familiar with this term as it happens here all the time. You will still have to pay 20% of the cost but $60.00 is better than $300.00. Your welcome.;)
