I got a '99 2dr. stock 'cept for a system dont know if I should lift it or lower it, Ive been to car shows and have seen 'em lowered, sweeeeeeeet, but still the appeal of off roading is still there, I went with a couple of friends a few times and loved it, but I see how much breaking goes on, its a hard decision. Please help!

Are there any Explorer clubs or people that just meet up in the area of North Jersey? Id be willing to drive a little if needbe.

Thanks,
John

Look in the Explorer Clubs part of the forum to meet up with people from NJ! Welcome to the board!

Lifting it is expensive (if you want to go big and are 4wd). If you are 2wd and want to lift, it's pretty cheap - compared to 4wd. Anyway, it's really up to you on if you want to go down or up. There are always pros and cons -- but if you wanted to do either one, for the cheapest, and best looking -- lower it! tires and wheels will be your most expensive thing. Good luck.

Ill check that out now.

I really am considering lifting it, I do have 4wd, and I really enjoy off roading and have friends that do it, just not with Explorers, I know it will cost either way and thats not a big deal I just want to enjoy it.

Thanks,
John
